The present work proposes the formulation of a Project for the implementation of a plant for the extraction of essential oils by steam entrainment in the South Valley of the city of Cusco having as raw material mainly Andean native plants that grow in the South Valley of Cusco and whose production chain will be integrated mainly from the reception of the raw material (native plants) through strategic alliances with the rural communities of the area (Tipón, Oropesa and Lucre), to the commercialization and distribution to national and international companies that use these oils as supplies for the elaboration of other products. The business opportunity is based on the growing demand for products based on essential oils by different industries mainly cosmetics, personal hygiene, aromatherapy and massage who project an exponential growth and currently exports more than 8000 liters ( Customs - Peru, 2018). Given this, Peru and especially the locality of Cusco presents a favorable situation for the development of green projects because it has a great variety of climates and altitudinal floors ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 meters above sea level with an area of more than 387,424 km destined for culture. (MINAGRI, 2017). However, this market is in full growth nationally and internationally. Thus, this project proposes to work jointly and directly with the peasant communities, which will generate an exhaustive control over the raw material through training of cultivation and harvesting strategies, which, together with a process control during manufacturing, will provide a 100% product. Natural and organic Thus, the products to be produced will be distinguished by their high degree of quality and will focus on a niche market that values these characteristics, for which the distillation of 2 aromatic species that are the myrtle and molle is considered. The initial investment required is S / 292,546 soles, which will cover the construction and training stages in the crop part, as well as the construction, adaptation and commissioning for the processing of 120 liters of essential oil per year. This is considered to be financed with shareholder capital (70%) and a bank loan (30%). The economic-financial evaluation, with a discount rate of 10.27% and a 5-year horizon, yields a positive VANE of S / 675,808 soles and a positive VANF of S / 848,817 soles, and an TIRE of 32.64% and a TIRF OF 38.64%, with a recovery of the investment in 3 years, 2 months and 7 days. The sensitivity analysis indicates that profitability remains positive with a 10% reduction in the demand for the essential oils market.
