The Medical Research: “QUALITY OF ATTENTION FROM THE PERCEPTION OF HOSPITALIZED PEOPLE IN THE SURGERY SERVICE, CUSCO REGIONAL HOSPITAL, 2017“. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of care from the precepts of hospitalized patients in the surgery service at the regional hospital of Cusco in 2017. The methodology was descriptive and transversal, with a sample of 60 hospitalized patients. The technique used was the interview and the instrument was a survey. RESULTS: Of the total number of patients surveyed, 53% are male and 47% are female, 44% are between 18 and 45 years old, 56% are over 46 years old, and 42% are primary, 30% are secondary and 3% are university students. , 57% speak Spanish and Quechua, 37% of patients hospitalized in the surgical service of the CUSCO Regional Hospital come from the city of Cusco and 63% come around from the city of Cusco, 45% of hospitalized patients had a stay from 3 to 5 days, 37% remained from 6 to 9 days and 18% more than 9 days. Regarding patient perception, 52% of hospitalized patients have an adequate perception of the tangible elements, 49% perceive on a regular basis the reliability of the quality of care, 53% regularly perceive the responsiveness, 51% perceive in an adequate way the security in the quality of attention as the empathy respectively. In conclusion, the perception of the quality of care in the Hospital Surgery service is perceived on a regular basis in 52% of the patients, 42% have adequate perception and only 6% have an inadequate perception of the quality of care in the surgery service
