Introduction: Childhood apraxia of speech is a neurological disorder, where the motor movements of speech are altered, making it difficult to utter words clearly. Therefore, it is essential to apply a therapeutic approach that provides the most ideal approach. Objective: Describe the considerations for the kinesthetic-proprioceptive tactile approach in a 3-year-old patient with childhood apraxia of speech during the period from August to December 2023 in a private center in Lima. Work Description: After identifying the errors in the child's speech and communication, the intervention plan was carried out taking into account the considerations for an approach to childhood apraxia of speech. Results: The results implied an adequate emission of the target words within the everyday context without the support of the therapist. Conclusions: Considerations for a kinesthetic-proprioceptive tactile approach in a child with childhood apraxia of speech are the application of an interdisciplinary approach in collaboration with Occupational Therapy; parents' knowledge about AHI and its approach; and choosing a therapeutic approach that integrates the use of target words.
