This project shows the construction procedure of the type of protection walls for the control of overflows in the District of Santa Cruz de Cocachacra, province of Huarochirí in the region of Lima. The use of this type of structure helps to prevent natural problems such as erosion, scour and flooding caused by the overflow of the Rimac River. They also serve as a protection structure against the occurrence of landslides generated by the constant rains. In our country, the application of these systems has been increasing; however, there are still questions about the proper construction process. Therefore, the consortium company "CONSORCIO RIBEREÑO", winner of the bidding process, financed by funding from the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC), is in charge of the physical execution of the work: "Improvement and expansion of the protection and control service for alluvium, overflows and floods in the urban area of the town of Corcona, district of Santa Cruz de Cocachacra - Huarochirí - Lima - III Stage". C.U.I. N° 2310035". For this reason, the purpose of this project is to define the construction process of the masonry type wall, indicating the occurrences found and the alternatives that can be considered for each item. This construction process guide will be very useful in case similar projects are carried out.
