The present study analyzes the performance of G-652B and G-652D fiber through a simulation process as a function of the distances of an STM-16 optical bond with 32 lambdas, for which it obtains the attenuation parameters, dispersion, dispersion slope and dispersion coefficient by polarization mode (PMD) of commercial technical sheets. The research of quantitative approach and experimental design performs the configuration of technical parameters for the design of DWDM systems obtaining the parameters JITTER, OSNR, Factor Q and BER according to the variations of 10 km to 100 km each interval of 10 km. The results show that, there are no significant differences until 50 km, but from this start to increase the difference between the optical fibers due to the attenuation parameter on the OSNR parameter, the dispersion slope in relation to the parameter BER, the dispersion coefficient by polarization mode (PMD) in the parameter JITTER and the influence of optical noise (OSNR) on Factor Q. In conclusion, G-652D fiber results in better transmission quality than G-652B fiber, but in the BER parameter G-652B fiber presents better conditions
