This research work includes a study based on simulations, on the variability of the received signal as a function of frequency and surface refractivity (Ns) for a dorsal interconnection microwave link located on the Peruvian coastal strip between the cities of Pacasmayo and Reque. The frequency variation was carried out in the low 6 GHz band considering the ITU-R F.384 recommendation, likewise, considering the ITU-R P.530-16 recommendation for surface refractivity variation. The results allowed to identify the most unfavorable fading for the link, which is a flat fading in frequency for a range of high values of surface refractivity. These surface refractivity values are associated with climatic conditions of increased temperature and parallel decrease in humidity. The work presents the considerations for simulation, calculations and methodology.
