The research carried out is applied, of a descriptive correlational type, whose objective was to determine the relationship between the level of safety culture and adherence to hand washing in nurses at the HRDT-2024 surgical center. The sample was 49 nurses, to whom the self-administered survey on safety culture from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and direct observation were applied to measure adherence to hand washing from the WHO, implemented by the MINSA. (2016). The results show that the level of safety culture of the HRDT 2024 surgical center nurses is strong at 60.9 percent and weak at 39.1 percent. Likewise, adherence to handwashing is good in 54.3 percent, fair in 37 percent, while 8.7 percent have poor adherence to handwashing. Chi Square Test: 0.3311, p value= 0.8474 (> 0.05)
