The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between patient satisfaction and the application of bioethical principles provided by the nurse of the Emergency Service of a hospital in Chiclayo. The study was quantitative, descriptive-correlational in design, in a sample of 265 patients. Two instruments were used, the first to measure patient satisfaction through the SERVQUAL tool and the second for the application of bioethical principles by the nurse, developed by the researchers and validated by experts. The results showed that 84.9% of patients are satisfied, while 15.1% of patients are dissatisfied with the care provided by the nurse. 79.2% of patients perceived the application of bioethical principles in the care provided by the nurse as adequate, 7.6% stated that it was partially adequate and 13.2% reported that it was inadequate. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between patient satisfaction and the application of bioethical principles provided by the nurse (r=0.85), according to the results of the Regression Coefficient, rejecting the null hypothesis
