The current situation of the neighborhood roads in Peru is critical, only 2% are paved and most of them are in very poor condition. The district municipalities, those responsible for directing studies and road maintenance works, do not have information resources of the competent road system, technical support capacities and budget, proof of this is that very few inspections of the state of the roads are carried out. This research seeks to implement an automated solution that begins with the acquisition of geospatial data such as georeferenced orthophotos, 3D point cloud and high resolution digital surface models (MDS), collected through unmanned aircraft (UAV) and photogrammetry techniques and structures from motion (SFM). With these geospatial inputs suitable for the study objective, and based on existing convolutional network architectures, a model will be developed to identify asphalt roads and possible deterioration. The automated solution will also provide the necessary metrics such as quantities, linear meters, areas or perimeters to intervene; allowing so; an early diagnosis of the road situation. It is intended that this solution has a high impact in economic and technical terms, achieving good acceptance by the municipalities and consultants in charge of the periodic maintenance of the neighborhood road networks. The aspiration of this project aims to improve transport infrastructure as a basis for sustainable development, increasing the level and quality of life of the inhabitants.
