The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and anxiety regarding COVID-19 in adults in Metropolitan Lima. The associative correlational design strategy was used. The sample was made up of 166 administrative workers from private companies in the textile, retail, banking and energy sectors, of both sexes (43.6% men and 55.8% women) with ages from 25 to 39 years old. To measure the variables, the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale and the Brief Measure of Emotional Intelligence in adults were used. The results showed that anxiety is related in an opposite way to the dimensions of emotional intelligence. It is concluded that there is an opposite relationship between anxiety regarding COVID-19 and the dimensions of emotional intelligence in workers.
