Trying to achieve different results with the same strategies is crazy, because as Einstein says "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." If moving forward is an imperative and not doing it, in the same way, is a necessity, maintaining the status quo of contracts, as well as the way to plan and execute them, will only result in a considerable waste of time and money. Today more than ever, in a pandemic scenario that does not have a specific end date, with an environment of constant regulatory change, the cost of working in a distrustful, non-transparent, and non-integrated way will result in a loss of efficiency for everyone in the Construction Industry. Our research postulates that the current crisis scenario can also be an opportunity. An Opportunity to prove and generate collaborative project management environments using Virtual Design and Construction. Projects in which, without prejudice to the project delivery system, the review of processes, work planning, construction methods and reorganization of resources can be efficiently integrated without neglecting transparent management of costs that reduce the loss of projects affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In a market that competes fiercely, cannibalizes profits and increases contingencies and reserve amounts, it is necessary to generate knowledge about the use of tools such as VDC, which allow the completion of projects to be made feasible and to reactivate the country's economic activity.
