Conocimientos y prácticas de lactancia materna en madres de menores de 2 años que acuden al Puesto de Salud Proyectos Especiales, San Juan de Lurigancho 2024

Abstract

Objetivo: determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y la aplicación de las prácticas de lactancia materna en madres de menores de 2 años que acuden al Puesto de Salud Proyectos Especiales, en San Juan de Lurigancho, durante el periodo 2024. Materiales y métodos: “el enfoque fue cuantitativo, diseño transversal y correlacional”. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por las 49 madres de menores de 2 años que acuden al Puesto de Salud Proyectos Especiales atendidas durante los meses abril y mayo del presente año. La muestra fue censal. Resultados: en cuanto a la edad, el 34.7% tiene 25 años o menos, el 30.6% tiene entre 26 y 30 años, el 16.3% tiene entre 31 y 35 años, el 10.2% tiene entre 36 y 40 años, y el 8.2% tiene más de 41 años. La mayoría de las madres en un 46.9% (N=23) tienen un nivel medio, seguido del 32.7% de las madres (N=16) que tienen un nivel de conocimiento bajo, y el 20.4% (N=10) tienen un nivel alto. El 63.3% de las madres (N=31) practican la lactancia de manera correcta, mientras que el 36.7% (N=18) lo hace de forma incorrecta. Hubo una significación asintótica bilateral de 0.000. Por lo tanto, dado que los valores de significación son menores que el nivel de significancia convencional (p < 0.05), se rechaza la hipótesis nula (H0) y se acepta la hipótesis alternativa (H1). Conclusiones: existe una relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimientos y la aplicación de las prácticas de lactancia materna en madres de menores de 2 años que acuden al Puesto de Salud Proyectos Especiales, en San Juan de Lurigancho, 2024.
