The present research analyzes the impact of generative artificial intelligence in the design and production of digital educational resources (RED) in higher education, taking as a case study the pilot course "Designing Educational Innovation Projects" of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC). It was identified that generative AI, through tools such as ChatGPT and Synthesia, significantly reduces production time and improves the quality and personalization of educational content. Additionally, an increase in the productivity of RED designers and developers was observed, although its implementation poses significant ethical challenges related to data privacy and transparency. Continuous training of teachers and designers is essential to maximize the benefits of AI in education. Recommendations include developing training programs, strengthening privacy policies, promoting transparency in the use of AI, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and continually evaluating and improving the AI tools used.
