The growing generation of solid waste from construction and demolition has caused significant environmental impacts, such as soil erosion, degradation of vegetation and contamination of water bodies due to inadequate management of this waste. In Metropolitan Lima and Callao, 19,000 tons of this waste are produced daily, and the majority is disposed of in an unauthorized manner in the sea and rivers. This situation threatens the safety and quality of life of residents, especially on the banks of the Chillón River, where waste can cause natural disasters for the population and loss of infrastructure. The research proposes the implementation of a circular economy model to optimize the use of construction and demolition waste in the Expansion of the Northern section of the High Capacity Segregated Corridor, with the aim of reducing its negative impact on the environment and serving as a basis for future developments in this area.
