Introduction. In Peru, the SARS CoV 2 pandemic has followed the pattern of “syndemic”, in which systemic social inequality has caused the most disadvantaged to be the hardest hit by the disease. It is of utmost relevance find the root of this inequality in order to adequately address and manage future pandemics. Aim. Analyze the spatial inequalities of SARS-CoV 2 cases associated with socioeconomic factors in Lima and Callao in 2020. Material and methods. The study was based on data from the research “Prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 associated with low socioeconomic status and overpopulation in a megacity in low- and middle-income countries: a population-based seroepidemiological survey in Lima, Peru” published in 2021. A descriptive analysis of the database was carried out. Likewise, a bivariate analysis of absolute and relative inequality was carried out using Chi-Square, according to compliance with assumptions. In addition, an analysis of the spatial distribution of cases according to variables was carried out using heat maps. Results. Regarding the level of monetary poverty and spatial distribution of SARs-CoV-2 cases, the SAR model showed that for each unit of change in the quintiles of monetary poverty the prevalence varies by -3.42. Conclusion. There are spatial inequalities in SARS-CoV-2 cases associated with socioeconomic factors in Lima and Callao in 2020, with areas with lower socioeconomic status being those with the highest prevalence.
