The present work was carried out with the aim of implementing indicators of the cost of equity (Ke) and the weighted average cost of capital (WACC), hereafter referred to as Ke and WACC , for a business group with over 90 years of history. The Group, located in Metropolitan Lima, serves as the parent company for 16 subsidiaries organized into Business Units of Infrastructure, Energy, Real Estate, and Engineering and Construction, which are located in Peru, Chile, and Colombia. By implementing a proper calculation of Ke and WACC, the company can make informed financial decisions, maximize shareholder value, and understand the enterprise value of each of its subsidiaries. The first step in the implementation was to calculate Ke, which involved considering various economic factors such as the risk-free rate, market risk premium, company beta, country risk, and specific risk premium. This data was obtained through financial analysis and consultations with investment specialists. Next, the calculation of WACC was carried out, taking into account both the debt and equity of the company. This involved determining the cost of debt, the cost of equity, and the appropriate capital structure proportions for each subsidiary. Once the Ke and WACC indicators were obtained, they were established as reference parameters for evaluating future investment projects and making sound financial decisions. Regularly updating these values is essential, as market conditions and capital structure can change over time.
