The Private University of the Peruvian Amazon is an educational institution, within its range of services, central library has a constantly growing consulting books using physical catalogs generate a huge amount of delay, catalogs deteriorate easily searched and these ar~ more complex, simply because to do so manually. The librarían can not manage properly the library, finding errors as a book that is busy is common, excessive delay in reporting. Faced with this problem has been pleased to introduce a "computer control system for the Private University Librarian of the Peruvian Amazon - UPSEP" allowing quick and efficient providing student services and provide greater control in managing the books and their loans. The system will record and track users performing loans in the library, so you can more accurately keep track of users and their interaction with the system manage library material s more efficiently, since it will have the record books in a databas e, the loans that are made by these books will be automated, which saves time, resources and improve customer service, streamline the issuance of reports, the system will issue reports on loans made, user status, inventory of books will be made more quickly, and will contain graphics that facilitate the analysis ofthe information broadcast. The design stage methodology was applied RUP (Rational Unified Process) with the {}ML (Unified Modeling Language). The design of the database, using the Entity Relationship Model was used MySQL Workbench 5.2.44 CE; framework was used Netbeans 7.2 for application development based on the lava prograrnming language. Charge indicators to measure performance of the system and determine the outcome of the project are: • Recordiog time for book: With the manual system had an average of 5' 26", and with the computer system was 2' 27", which represents a reduction of57%. • Time loan a book: With the manual system had an average of 6' 06 ", and with the computer system was 3' 19", which represents a reduction of 47%. • Time oí generatíon of a report: Report Books: With the manual system had an average of 19' 10 ", and with the computer system was 2' 43", which represents a reduction of 87%. Report Students: With the manual system had an average is 15' 03 ", and with the computer system was l' 50", which represents a reduction of 90%.
