Public spending is essential to meet the needs of the population, so its execution has to be done in an adequate and timely manner, hiring suppliers in compliance with current legislation and regulations. The objective of this thesis is to determine the place of public bidding in state contracting in the Loreto region according to type of process, in the period 2014 - 2018. For this, this Quantitative, Descriptive level and Non-Experimental design research was carried out. The investigation concludes that the Public Tender is the type of process through which the majority of state contracting in the Loreto region is carried out, having amounted to S /. 2,058.30 million, which is equivalent to 47.19%. The second type of process with the most contracts was Simplified Adjudication with S /. 601.50 million, which meant 13.79%. The type of public entity that carried out the largest amount of state contracts was Local Government, having awarded the amount of S /. 1,667.90 million, a value that represents 38.24%; followed by FONAFE, an entity that entered into contracts for S /. 1,322.40 million, a value equal to 30.32%. On the other hand, the number of current registered providers by chapter was made up mainly by Service Provider, chapter with 14,428 registered, equal to 57.70% of the total. 71.86% of the suppliers come from Local, and 28.14% from Other Regions.
