Factores antropogénicos y climáticos que influencian en la biodiversidad y poblaciones de la ornitofauna de la ciudad de Iquitos, Perú

Abstract

The urban and peri-urban area of the city of Iquitos is home to a considerable diversity of bird species, some of them little known and others that are adapting to the resources that the anthropic environment provides them. The inadequate management of green areas, added to other anthropogenic and climatic factors, would be having a negative impact on the composition and abundance of the avifauna, for which reason the present investigation sought to know the influence of anthropogenic and climatic factors on biodiversity and populations. of birds in the city of Iquitos. To this end, four areas of the city were sampled using the point-count technique, which allowed a total of 51,603 individuals distributed among 18 orders, 40 families and 125 species to be recorded, with the species Coragyps atratus, Brotogeris versicolorus and Columba livia being the ones that They had more sightings. Likewise, it was shown that a higher tree cover and relative humidity positively influence the diversity of bird species in the city; while high levels of environmental temperature, mainly, and high noise levels, negatively affect the diversity of bird species in the city of Iquitos. Finally, the Green Areas, Open Areas and River Banks are the areas with the greatest diversity of birds in the city of Iquitos.

La zona urbana y periurbana de la ciudad de Iquitos alberga una considerable diversidad de especies de aves, algunas de ellas poco conocidas y otras que se van adaptando a los recursos que el ambiente antrópico les proporciona. La inadecuada gestión de las áreas verdes sumado a otros factores antropogénicos y climáticos, estarían repercutiendo negativamente en la composición y abundancia de la avifauna, por lo que en la presente investigación se buscó conocer la influencia de los factores antropogénicos y climáticos en la biodiversidad y poblaciones de aves en la ciudad de Iquitos. Para ello se muestrearon cuatro zonas de la ciudad empleando la técnica de conteo por puntos, la cual permitió registrar un total de 125 especies distribuidos entre 18 órdenes, 40 familias y 51,603 individuos, siendo las especies Coragyps atratus, Brotogeris versicolorus y Columba livia las que tuvieron mayores numero de individuos avistados. Asimismo, se evidenció que a mayor cobertura arbórea y húmedad relativa influye de manera positiva en la diversidad de especies de aves en la ciudad; mientras que niveles elevados de temperatura ambiental, principalmente y altos niveles de ruido, afectan de manera negativa en la diversidad de especies aves en la ciudad de Iquitos. Finalmente, las Áreas Verdes, Áreas Abiertas y Orilla de Río, son las zonas con mayor diversidad de aves en la ciudad de Iquitos.
