The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between dietary fiber intake and the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the mothers of the Huayllapampa-2022 Together Program. It is a correlational study, with a population and sample of 100 mothers, with census-type sampling, the food consumption frequency questionnaire, the 48-hour recall and the Findrisk Test were applied to them. The results obtained indicate that 62% had regular fiber intake, 28% had high fiber intake and 10% had low fiber intake. 58% of those surveyed presented a slightly increased risk, 30% a low risk and 12% a moderate risk. The non-parametric test for contrasting the hypotheses was Rho Spearman, with p= 0.045 and r= -0.807. It was concluded that there is a significant, negative and high relationship between dietary fiber intake and the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
