The present research work that had as a general problem: Determine the effectiveness of the modified tooth brushing techniques and the modified Stillman technique in fifth grade students of the Simón Bolívar School of Picchu Alto in the District of Cusco? And whose general objective was: To determine the effectiveness of the modified low brushing techniques and the modified Stillman brushing technique in the fifth-grade students of the Simón Bolívar de Picchu Alto School in the Cusco District. The type of research is basic of a descriptive-correlational nature, the design was non- experimental, cross-sectional-correlational. The sample consisted of 84 fifth-grade students from the Simón Bolívar de Picchu Alto school in the Cusco district. The efficacy of the Modified Bass and Stillman brushing techniques were verified through the questionnaires sent to the students, and these questionnaires passed the parametric (Pearson r) or non-parametric (Spearman's rho, Chi square) normality test. The results indicate for Modified Bass: good 90%, and bad 10% of an initial data of good of 77% and 93.3% bad, where a very broad improvement is observed. For Stillman, the result after applying the technique was good 80%, and bad 20% of an initial data of good 77% and bad 93.3%. When applying the non-parametric test for free distribution of the data, Spearman's Rho analysis at a significance level of 0.05. As the significance value of the statistic is less than 0.05, then we can ensure that the statistical coefficient is significant (p <0.05). Therefore, the Null Hypothesis is rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis is accepted. Consequently, it is verified that the modified Bass dental brushing technique and the modified Stillman technique are effective in reducing bacterial plaque in fifth-grade students from the Simón Bolívar de Picchu Alto School in the district of Cusco.
