The objective of this research work is to define the type of relationship that exists between concept maps and the significant learning of mathematical calculation for the course of Physics I in the students of the Faculty of Sciences. Study with a quantitative approach, as well as a substantive or even basic one, with a descriptive and correlational design and a hypothetical deductive method. Considering a sample and population made up of 25 students from the university in question. The technique used in the research was the survey and the respective instruments: questionnaire on concept maps and objective test on mathematical calculation for Physics I. The instruments were evaluated in terms of their reliability and validity. The analysis of the statistical part of the results of the study in the field was carried out by means of the Pearson (r) correlational test, thus obtaining results that verified the general research hypothesis; as well as the specific hypotheses of the study: There is a relationship between learning and the significant conceptual maps of the course of mathematical calculation for physics I, at a total level and by dimensions: recovery of previous knowledge, organization of new knowledge, self-motivation by learning and capacity for interdependence and development of collaboration skills, in the students of the Faculty of Sciences of the National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle.
