The thesis Physical computing and scientific competences in students of the IX cycle of the Professional School of Electronics and Telecommunications - UNE. It is a quantitative study, of an applied type, it was worked with the non-experimental cross-correlational design, it had the participation of 30 students of the IX cycle of the Professional School of Electronics and Telecommunications - UNE; the sample is non-probabilistic. To measure the variables, the questionnaire was used according to the variables (Physical computing and scientific competences). It was found that the students indicate that the use of physical computing is very good, 6.7% have higher level scientific competences; when physical computing is good, 10.0% have high-level scientific skills; On the other hand, when physical computing is regular, 50.0% have basic level scientific skills, likewise when physical computing is bad, 13.3% have low level scientific skills; and finally, when physical computing is very bad, 6.7% have very low-level scientific skills. Which concludes that there is a significant relationship between physical computing and scientific skills in students of the IX cycle of the Professional School of Electronics and Telecommunications - UNE. (p ˂ 0.05, Spearman's Rho = 0.791, with a high positive correlation).
