The objective of this research work is to evaluate the influence of the PRECLAM educational program on the preventive competence on preeclampsia in pregnant women at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital - Lima 2019. The sample was 86 pregnant women: 31 from the experimental group and 65 from the control group chosen. for convenience. The design was quasi-experimental, both groups with pre- and post-test, where the dependent variable was evaluated. The independent variable was the PRECLAM educational program. The study included primigravida or nulliparous women, with prenatal care, gestational age less than 36 weeks. Pregnant women with psychiatric problems, deafness, mute disability, and absences of more than 30% were excluded; The technique was the survey and documentary analysis. A data collection form and competency test validated by experts was used. Chi square was used for categorical variables and Student's t for two independent samples for the hypothesis test with a 95% confidence level p<0.05. The PRECLAM educational program significantly influenced the understanding of preeclampsia, the recognition of risk factors, understanding of complications and seeking timely care; However, it did not influence the identification and development of preventive measures, recognition of signs of severity, understanding of the diagnosis, and understanding of therapeutic measures for preeclampsia. It is concluded that the PRECLAM educational program significantly influences the preventive competence on preeclampsia in pregnant women at the San Juan de Lurigancho-Lima Hospital, 2019.
