The fundamental objective of this research work is to identify the existence of a correlation between reading, writing and calculation in first grade students of public and private educational institutions in the Carmen de la Legua district of the DRE, Callao region, 2020. It was quantitative, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional and descriptive level. The sample was made up of 91 students for which the instrument Test 5-6 Form B was used, by the authors: Esther Gastelumendi de Fernández Aurora Isasmendi de Pin Gertrud and Slowak – Zoraida de Semeleng, previously validated; The data were processed in the SPSS software, the findings allowed us to identify as a conclusion the existence of the level of correlation between reading, writing and calculation in first grade students of public and private educational institutions in the district of Carmen de la Legua de la DRE, Callao region, 2020.
