The main objective of this research work was to determine the degree of relationship existing between social skills and socialization in sixth grade students primary school of the 'Alfonso Barrantes Lingán' Educational Institution of the Ate district, 2021. The research is basic, correlational and non-experimental; the sample was made up per 100 students. Two questionnaires were used as instruments, which were duly validated by expert judgment, obtaining for both instruments a good level of validity, in the same way after the analysis to know the level of reliability with Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was obtained as a response of 0.882 regarding the social skills variable, where it is determined that it has a level of strong internal insistence, while with respect to the socialization variable it was obtained as a response 0.948, where it is determined that this has a level of internal insistence high, so the purpose of the investigation is met. In this research it was obtained a correlation of r= 0.623, a result that shows a considerable correlation positive since it has a significance level p = 0.000 < 0.05, so it is rejected the null hypothesis and acceptance of the hypothesis proposed at the beginning of the study, compared to It is concluded that, the greater the development of social skills, the better the socialization in students.
