The present investigation deals with the situation of stress in the personnel that works in the appointment area of the Hospital of EsSalud Luis Negreiros Vega - Callao, 2017. The thesis made in terms of methodological guidelines, this was worked under the quantitative approach, non-experimental design and cross-sectional or transactional and whose type of study was basic descriptive, the population was made up of 30 workers who work in the area of appointments of the Hospital of EsSalud Luis Negreiros Vega - Callao, 2017. The data collection was carried out under the technique of the survey and the applied instrument was a questionnaire of 20 questions for the variable work stress To establish the reliability of the questionnaire, a test of internal consistency was applied to a pilot sample of 20 workers who work in the area of appointments and a value of 0.898 was obtained in the Cronbach's Alpha statistic, determining that the instrument is reliable. On the other hand it was concluded that there is a high level of stress and although the workers know what it is about, they have not put into practice the necessary strategies, presenting this problem with greater frequency and incidence in the work.
