The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between economic support measures and food security in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. in families of Lurigancho-Chosica. The cross-sectional, correlational study, quantitative, with a sample of 66 family representatives belonging to the EI community Josefa Carrillo and Albornoz. Two questionnaires were used, whose validation through expert judgment was 84.5%, demonstrating a good degree of validity and a degree of reliability of 0.7 for the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient demonstrating a good level. The contrasting of hypotheses was done through the test Pearson's Chi Square statistic and the statistical analysis was done using the SPSS 12 Program gave as a result that 78% of the respondents were a lady, the 48.5% had been a beneficiary of some economic support measure, 84.8% of the interviewees presented moderate food insecurity and 15.2% a level of insecurity severe food without distinction of having received or not some financial support. In conclusion, with the values of p (0.835, 0.175 and 0.790) the null hypotheses of each of the statements.
