The objective of this research work is the adequate adherence of the nutritional supplementation by ferrous sulfate + folic acid, to prevent the problems of anemia in pregnant women; this investigation is based on the analysis of the adherence to supplementation and its associated factors. The objective is to determine the relationship between the adherence of nutritional supplementation by ferrous sulfate + folic acid and the associated factors, in pregnant mothers at the Children's Hospital of Chosica. A descriptive - correlational research design was used, with a sample of 245 pregnant mothers who were in the third trimester without anemia. Among the materials and methods used, including the instrument of measurement, the questionnaire applied to pregnant mothers, who previously requested their informed consent. Among other results, 80% of pregnant mothers obtained optimal adherence to ferrous sulfate + folic acid supplementation. A relationship was found between the level of adherence to ferrous sulfate + folic acid supplementation and the educational and socioeconomic level in pregnant mothers. In conclusion, there is a statistically significant relationship between adherence and factors associated with supplementation.
