The objective of this research work is to establish the relationship between resilience and learning of the English language in students of the second cycle of the specialty of English - Spanish as a foreign language of the UNE Enrique Guzmán y Valle, 2015. We can affirm that resilience it is the ability to overcome the difficulties that man faces in life and this happens in the context of learning a foreign language. For this, the entire population was taken into account as a sample due to the number of 20 students being very small, to whom the Inventory of Personal Resilience Factors was applied, built and validated by Salgado (2004) in regards to the variable I. Regarding variable II, learning the English language, the Cambridge University International Key English Test (KET) was applied. After performing the hypothesis test, it was concluded that there is a significant relationship between both variables, resilience and learning of the English language in the study sample.
