The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship that exists between the problem-solving strategy and the learning of mathematics in fourth grade students. The hypothesis proposed is the existence of a significant relationship between the variables: problem-solving strategy and mathematics learning. The methodological framework has a quantitative approach, basic type, also, non-experimental design and correlational-descriptive level. A census sampling of 60 students was carried out. Two questionnaires were taken into account as the instruments. Finally, in conclusion, a significant and direct relationship could be evidenced between the problem-solving strategy and the learning of mathematics in fourth grade students of the United States Educational Institution, UGEL 04, Comas, 2022 (p < 0. 05 and Spearman's Rho = 0.881, very high positive correlation).
