The study was conducted in order to establish the relationship between classroom management and academic success in students of the Centers of Alternative Basic Education. The study is comprised in the quantitative approach and the type of research is non-experimental, the descriptive method and the correlational design were used. The population consisted of 168 students of the Centers of Alternative Basic Education: CEBA 6065 Peru Inglaterra and the CEBA PAEBA Villa El Salvador (Program of Literacy and Alternative Basic Education). The sample was census and the sample selection has been intentional. A questionnaire with 46 items was applied to evaluate the classroom management variable and the performance scores of the 2007- II school period to evaluate the academic success variable. It is conclude, in the descriptive analysis, the predominance of favorable opinion (67%) in the management of the teacher's classroom at a global level and with respect the variable academic success the low level predominates ( 63,1%). To test the hypotheses raised, the non-parametric Rho de Spearman test was used and it is conclude globally that if there is evidence of a significant relationship, it falls between classroom management and academic success according to the students’ perception. Spearman's Rho =0,155 and Pvalor = 0,045< 0,05. At the level of the dimensions of classroom management: interactive relationships, type of activity in the teaching-learning process and classroom organization if there is correlation with academic success while in class planning, curriculum materials and evaluation there is no correlation with Academic success in the institutions of Alternative Basic Education.
