The objective of this research work was titled: “The leadership style and its relationship with the organizational climate according to the perception of teachers in early-level educational institutions in the city of Tacna.” The general objective was: Determine the relationship between the leadership style and the organizational climate according to the perception of the teachers of the initial level educational institutions in the city of Tacna. To achieve the objective, the MLQ-5X questionnaire and the organizational climate scale developed by Litwin and Stringer were applied to 108 teachers, being a positivist, basic, non-experimental and transversal research. The results were: A low level of leadership is exercised by the directors, according to the perception of 70% of the teachers. The organizational climate is at a low level, according to the perception of 71% of the teachers. The correlation coefficient between the study variables was 0.674 (p=0.000). The conclusion was: The approaches that managers use to motivate teachers are related to their perception of the environment of their institutions, including their interaction with managers.
