The objective of this research work was to examine the correlation between critical thinking and investigative skills among primary education students at the National University of Education. This study aimed to identify specific deficiencies that impact student performance and academic performance within the Peruvian educational system. To achieve this, a hypothetico-deductive methodology was used, using a quantitative research approach. The research design focused on the basic characteristics of the study, with the aim of expanding knowledge about the variables analyzed. A sample consisting of all students enrolled at the University was selected and validated instruments with high reliability were administered. Based on the statistical analysis, it was concluded that there is indeed a relationship between Critical Thinking and Investigative Competencies, thus confirming the general hypothesis with a correlation coefficient of 0.755 at p=0.001 (p < .05), confirming that there is a relationship. direct and significant relationship between Critical Thinking and Investigative Competencies of Primary Education Students of the National University of Education.
