The objective of this research work is to make known that public policies to support and level of development of science, technology and innovation, from the perspective of university students in the Ica Region, during the year 2019; It is a correlational research that used a descriptive design and aimed to determine, from the perception of university students, what is the degree of support that public policies provide to the development of science, technology and innovation in the Ica Region, during the year 2019. According to the results analyzed in a reflective and contrasted manner, it was concluded that the degree of support provided by public policies directly determines the degree of development of science, technology and innovation in the Ica Region, during the year 2019; with a positive correlation level of 0.914. Therefore, if the coefficient of variability is taken into consideration (r2= 0.835), we have that the Degree of development of science, technology and innovation in the Ica Region is determined 83.5% by the Degree of support that provide public policies in the Ica Region.
