The present thesis aimed to determine the relationship between teaching strategies and significant learning in the IV year cadets of the Chorrillos Military School - 2018. In the methodology the approach used was quantitative, applied type, the level was descriptive and the non-experimental design was used, because no manipulation of the variables was performed. As for the population, it was made up of 200 cadets of which 132 were taken, a figure obtained by random sampling. The survey that was applied to the interviewees had 17 items distributed as follows: 9 items for the teaching strategies variable and 8 items for the significant learning variable, the instrument had five response options, Likert type. This survey proved to have a high reliability of 0.918, therefore its validity was verified. The responses of the instrument were analyzed and it was determined that 90.7% of the cadets considered positive the items raised in the survey; Chi square was used to corroborate and contrast the information. These results allowed us to confirm that the teaching strategies are related to the significant learning in the IV year cadets of the Chorrillos Military School - 2018.
