This thesis reports a research on the influence of job satisfaction in the motivation in the work of the teaching staff of educational institutions of governance in Lima of Villa El Salvador district. The stratified random sample was conformed by 143 teachers. The research had a quantitative approach, correlation scope, and cross-sectional design. Applied tests Motivation at Work Scale and the Multidimensional Scale of Teacher Job Satisfaction for the collection of information. We assessed the validity of the content and reliability of these instruments, with the coefficient of Aiken validity and Cronbach's coefficient respectively. The collected data were analyzed with the scale of kegs for the qualitative levels of the variables studied, and the statistical test parametric correlation of Pearson (r ) for the evaluation of the general hypothesis and specific assumptions. The findings showed the existence of a moderate and significant positive influence of job satisfaction in the motivation in the work of the teaching staff of educational organizations studied, as well as the intrinsic motivation and motivation identified the same teachers. However, it was also noted a low and significant negative influence of job satisfaction in extrinsic motivation and self-executing motivation of teachers. The findings were statistically significant at a level of probability of p = 0, 05.
