The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship that exists between directive leadership and teaching performance in state educational institutions at the primary level of Callao. The methodology used in the research was descriptive and correlational since information was collected to describe the relationship between managerial leadership and teacher performance, the data collection technique was the questionnaire-type survey on leadership styles as the first variable and teacher performance as the second variable, where the likert scale was used. A population of 50 primary level teachers from Callao state educational institutions participated, to whom the instruments were applied. The results were subjected to the validity and reliability analysis, where a Rho Spearman correlation level = 0.44 was found, which indicated a mean positive level and given the p value = 0.001 (degree of statistical significance) less than α = 0 , 05 showing that the general hypothesis that managerial leadership styles are significantly related to teaching performance in state educational institutions at the primary level of Callao is confirmed, it is also concluded: there is a high level of democratic leadership style in the first variable 96%, and that there is a high level of teaching performance as a second variable in 98%. The conclusions reached are the following: There is a significant relationship between directive leadership and teaching performance in state educational institutions at the primary level of Callao.
