The general objective of this research work was to determine the relationship that exists between the project-based learning method (PBL) and reading comprehension of the English language in undergraduate students at the University of Tacna. In relation to the research approach, it was quantitative, basic, with a non-experimental, descriptive correlational – transversal design. Likewise, the sample was considered census because the number of respondents is small, two instruments were created, one for each variable respectively, which were validated by expert judgment, in addition, a pilot test was carried out with a “Cronbach's Alpha” scale. ” with a result of 0.915 for variable 1 and 0.937 for variable 2, presenting high reliability. Descriptive statistics were developed where a set of information supported by tables and numerical measurements was described, inferential statistics was also carried out with its methodologies and processes based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, determining that project-based learning (PBL) presented a significance value equal to .010. On the other hand, the variable reading comprehension in English presented a significance value equal to .000. When it was proven that both variables obtained values lower than p value 0.05, the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis is affirmed.
