The objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between knowledge and intake of ferrous sulfate and folic acid of pregnant women at the Ermitaño Bajo Health Center, Independencia; The research was correlational, hypothetical-deductive and basic in design. We worked with the entire population of 50 pregnant women and the results were: 72% did consume iron supplements and 28% did not; On the other hand, 70% of the pregnant women presented adequate knowledge and the remaining 30% had inadequate knowledge. 50% of the pregnant women who did consume the Fe supplement had a high consumption of ferrous sulfate and folic acid (27 mg/d and 600 mg/d respectively) and 50% had a low consumption. The minimum adherence to iron supplementation was 76.7% and the maximum 100%. The average adherence is 95.7% and the median is 91.7%. 60% of pregnant women do consume folic acid supplements and the remaining 40% do not. The average adherence is 96.4% and the median is 90%, reaching the conclusion that there is a significant, direct and moderate relationship between knowledge and consumption of ferrous sulfate and folic acid in pregnant women at the Ermitaño Bajo Health Center, Independencia.
