A study was carried out whose purpose was to evaluate and compare the efficiency in the cost of investments of the universities of the strategic alliance of the Peruvian university in the invierte.pe system during the period 2020-2022. The data was obtained from the Investment Portfolio of the Multiannual Investment Programming Office of the Ministry of Education, from the Investment Monitoring System - Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), from the MEF Investment Bank and from the Follow-up Consultation. execution of Investment Projects on the MEF portal. With this data, specific Objective 01 was developed, a situational analysis of investments, through prioritized investments, nature of investments, investment viability period and progress status in the investment cycle. For specific Objective 02, the progress of the execution of investments could be evaluated. For the General Objective, the variation was identified between the updated cost during the execution phase of the investment (Updated Cost) and the accumulated accrued amount, these two with respect to the cost of the formulation and evaluation phase (viable or approved cost). As results, in the Analysis of cost efficiency, cost overruns of more than 50% and 75% are observed for UNALM and UNMSM in more than 30% and 45% of their investments, respectively, for the Viable Cost with respect to the Updated Cost. Regarding the Efficiency of the Viable Cost with respect to the Accumulated Earnings, of the investments that are still being executed, for the UNALM, 21% of its investments have a bad and very bad cost efficiency compared to the UNMSM and the UNI, who do not exceed 15% of their investments with this inefficiency.
