Introduction: The 99mTc-labeled PSMA for SPECT/CT is presented as an alternative in the acquisition of images in patients with prostate cancer; however, in our country this technique is not widely disseminated despite its frequent use at international level. Therefore, it is essential that the medical technologist in radiology knows the technical considerations necessary to use 99mTc-HYNIC-iPSMA with SPECT/CT in the evaluation of patients with prostate cancer. Objective: Describe the technical considerations using Tc99m-HYNIC-iPSMA with SPECT/CT for the evaluation of patients with prostate cancer. Work Description: Technical considerations employing 99mTc-HYNIC-iPSMA with SPECT/CT included: adequate labeling and correct administration of the radiopharmaceutical, acquisition of whole body planar and multiFOV SPECT/CT images, and image processing. Principal findings: Proper application of technical considerations employing Tc99m-HYNIC-iPSMA with SPECT/CT evidences its usefulness in the evaluation of patients with prostate cancer. Conclusion: The present work of professional sufficiency provides the technical considerations using 99mTc-HYNIC-iPSMA with SPECT/CT for the evaluation of patients with prostate cancer, the correct application of these considerations guarantees an adequate evaluation of patients with prostate cancer.
