Chronic childhood malnutrition (CCM) is one of the most serious problems in the world, which has multiple determinants; therefore, many countries have implemented programs to address it. The objective of the study was to analyze the interpretations and dynamics generated in the implementation of the Articulated Nutritional Program (PAN) in the Awajun community of Chipe Cuzu. The research method was qualitative phenomenological, the sample consisted of direct and indirect actors (15) and beneficiaries (10) considering an intentional and snowball sampling. The data collection instruments were: a data collection form, observation guides and interview guides. The information was analyzed considering content analysis techniques using the MAXQDA program. The results show that the actors involved have different interpretations, among which it stands out that many of them, at a local level, do not have a clear identification of the PAN as a program aimed at reducing ICD, and they also interpret that the proposed interventions do not address the problem in all its magnitude, and that the resources and inputs assigned are insufficient for the indigenous reality. There is no clear intercultural focus in the interventions, and it is necessary to improve the approach taking into account specific determinants. Regarding the organizational dynamics and practices between the actors, the dynamics of coordination and permanent support stand out. Regarding the operators (health personnel) and their local interrelation, it can be seen that coordination and agreement meetings are held with actors from the community, sporadic work with social programs, friendly relations with the beneficiaries and strategies of care are assumed in the face of the lack of inputs (use of traditional resources). It is concluded that there is a diversity of interpretations and dynamics generated by the implementation of the PAN, which can intervene in the implementation of the program in indigenous populations.
