Introduction: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by social and communication impairments, including motor impairments that limit performance in certain activities. Within a physiotherapy intervention, it is important to consider implementing exercises focused on improving these motor deficiencies for the development of corresponding skills. Objectives: Describe the considerations when implementing an individualized physiotherapy intervention program in a child with ASD treated in a pediatric rehabilitation center during the period January-June 2023 in Cuzco, Peru Work Description: The considerations implemented in an individualized physiotherapy intervention program in a child with ASD based on exercises focused on improving motor skills (postural control, coordination, gross motor skills, static and dynamic balance) were described. Conclusion: Considerations for implementing a physical therapy intervention program for a child with ASD included personalizing the program, actively involving the family, and focusing on exercise sessions that initially focus on improving postural control, balance, and coordination, followed by activities that involve jumping, throwing and catching, which promotes better motor skill development.
