Introduction: Computed Urotomography (URO-TC) is the first-line test to assess the functionability of the urinary system. It can lead to overexposure to radiation in patients. There are new techniques such as SPLIT BOLUS that help us to reduce the radiation exposure time for patients, since we reduce the study to 2 image acquisitions, compared to the conventional technique where 5 acquisitions are made per study. Objectives: Describe the technical aspects to implement a protocol for an appropriate acquisition of urotomography images with contrast medium and dual energy in a private health center during the year 2023. Description of the study: According to the reviewed evidence, the technical aspects for an appropriate acquisition of images in CTU should be: 1. Patient preparation, fasting prior to the study, laboratory tests, etc. 2. Image acquisition, already established technical parameters will be used, such as the use of dual energy and contrast injection using the SPLIT BOLUS technique 3. Image post-processing, using Syngo.via by Siemens Healthcare. Conclusion: The proper application of the SPLIT BOLUS technique combined with the use of dual energy, using the previously mentioned aspects, reduces patient's radiation exposure and the study time as well as giving images that preserve diagnostic quality.
