Introduction: The development of communication skills gives us the possibility of communicating assertively in society. The majority of children with ASD lack these skills, creating barriers to their inclusion in the environment. Therefore, intervention to develop communication skills is of utmost importance, so that they can communicate and establish relationships. Objective Describe an intervention proposal to develop communication skills in a 3-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder from a private center in Arequipa during the period January-March 2023. Description of work: An intervention proposal to develop communication skills in a child with ASD, together with a review of evidence, demonstrate that activities should be carried out using sound stimuli, visual supports, play and the participation of the child's closest environment to achieve optimal expressive and comprehensive communication. Conclusions: The activities used in the intervention proposal to develop communication skills were: information work activities for parents, play activities, activities with sound stimuli and support of replication activities in therapeutic sessions and at home.
