Background: The chest tomographic study became one of the main tools for the diagnosis and monitoring of COVID-19 disease in patients with suspected or symptomatology, as it is a study with a wide acquisition capacity. Objective: Determine the level of lung involvement in chest tomography according to the CO - RADS classification in patients with suspected COVID-19 who attended a respiratory emergency service in a clinic in Metropolitan Lima. Material and methods: Observational, cross-sectional, and retrospective study, which included a sample of 339 tomographic reports of patients performed with suspected COVID-19 during April to September 2020. Results: According to the tomographic study of the chest, the male sex represented 59.1%, while the female sex represented 41.9%, referring to the most predominant ages were 46 to 60 years (52.5%), the patients were overweight in 51.9%. Hypertension 59.6% and diabetes 54.3%. Likewise, according to the classification of CO-RADS 1, it was 26.3% of the cases, followed by CO-RADS 3 with 23.9%, CO- RADS 2 with 18.6%, CO-RADS 5 with 12.1%, CO-RADS 4 with 10%, and CO- RADS 0, which presented 9.1% of the cases. Concluding: The chest tomographic study, through the evaluation of CO-RADS, was of great impact for medical care, as it indicated the degree of lung involvement in the patients treated.
