Introduction: The clinical importance of controlling blood glucose levels occurs in order to prevent diabetes, so the impact of glucose control has greater relevance, since as a result of this; lines of health prevention can be established. The glucose oxidase analysis meets the minimum established criteria, these being the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases, in which the types of errors made are identified, to later be corrected and improve the results obtained. Objective: Describe the technical considerations in the preanalytical phase to ensure the determination of glucose oxidase in blood diagnosis in a level I-3 Health Center during the year 2023. Job Description: Within the technical considerations, based on evidence, emphasis is placed on verifying receipt of the doctor's analysis request, which often comes without a presumptive diagnosis; Another consideration corresponds to the patient guidelines; do not eat foods rich in fat and come fasting for 8 hours one day before sampling. At the time of sampling, pertinent information is provided to the patient about the procedure that will be performed to avoid preanalytical errors. Conclusion: The technical considerations for the pre-analytical phase in the application of the glucose oxidase method in blood diagnosis must start with correct filling out of the analysis request, complete identification of the patient; the puncture and sample transport technique which must not present interferences (lipemic, insufficient, incorrect or clotted) or hemolysis; and provide continuous training to laboratory staff in improving doctor-laboratory interaction and digitalization/automation for adequate laboratory performance.
