Anemia is a global public health problema that affects the growth and development of children. In Peru it affects 43,6%, generating serious consequences in the future, making it essential to address the problema. Objective: Determine the factors that affect iron supplementation in the reduction of anemia in children from 0 to 5 years old, in a health center in Lima between the months of October and November 2022. Materials and Methods: Quantitative approach, descriptive type , cross-section; shows 119 mothers treated in Growth and Development of Healthy Children. Questionnaire application with 19 items. Pilot test on 30 mothers, resulting in adequate reliability (KR20> 0,7) according to Kuder Richardson and validity of 10 health experts, obtaining conformity by binomial test, with significant values (p<0,05). Results: The factors that affect iron supplementation as a demographic characteristic predominate: mothers with one child (46,2%), cohabitants (56,3%), level of secondary education (51,3%), housewife (54,6%) and close living (96,6%). Adherence to treatment: non-compliance (86,55), no treatment provision (66,38%), no health care (55,46%). Person providing the supplement: related to marital status (0,006), instruction (0,007). Health care team related to demographic data (0,023), mother's age: related to treatment adherence (0,0497), provider person (0,0489). Conclusion: The factors that affect iron supplementation in reducing anemia in children from 0 to 5 years old are mainly: level of education and occupation of mothers with an average of 50%.
