The objective of this study was to characterize the bacterial, cytological and pH parameters in milk that serve as indicators of subclinical mastitis in lactating bitches and to analyze their relationship with the presence of diarrhea in neonates. This will be determined by extracting between 0.4 to 4 ml of milk from each mammary gland in a productive state, evaluating the pH and cytology parameters (somatic cell count), determining the type of gram bacteria in all breasts, and quantifying units. forming bacteriological colonies in breast milk considered positive for subclinical mastitis. Likewise, litters with or without diarrhea will be recorded, establishing their relationship with the presence of subclinical mastitis. What is expected from this work is to describe the characteristics of milk in subclinical mastitis in lactating bitches from kennels in Lima to determine objective parameters as diagnostic tools through milk analysis, taking as reference the opinions of specialists not valued or reported, so there is great subjectivity in the diagnosis; also demonstrate that there is a direct relationship between subclinical mastitis with the presence of diarrhea in newborns. These results will reveal the parameters for diagnosing subclinical mastitis, the methodology and the need to carry out pH, cytological, and microbiological controls in milk as a routine in lactating bitches even without presenting obvious signs.
